you are right in so many "punch in the crotch" ways ...the name alone warrants a purchase? no but that's what you see evey yr. with this franchise which i can't muster up any energy to buy this game when some of the things that they are implementing this yr. was in previous games and the patch thing lol i bursted out in loud laughter when i saw that cause that is exactly what it is this gen patch work or beta work for the consumers to give feedback so they can patch the game knowing it wasn't complete on release day in the first place..well hopefully by m14 everyone can rest assure that it will be all they hoped it to be (sarcasms) until then i'll be playing other genre games because i have no faith in tibruron now and possibly not until they have competition

I know madden has retired from from the game but I would try to put him back in the booth just for the playoffs or the super bowl game...if 2k grabbed MJ Magic and Bird, I know EA have the funds to get John for just a voice appearance in a future title...if he's up for it lol

Because there was absolutely positively no thought in the commentary and crowd sounds/chants...my create a chat on CH2k8 sound better lol but it is what it is..the era of settling for none or less...time to dust off the "LITTLE BIG BROTHER" get him some HD connect and surround sound...he'll be ready right along when 2k12 and MWF3 drops

@DaggerSwagger I knew there was someone who notice these things are real..its all about hype and announcing new gimmicky features that 1."never before seen" or 2. From past games but think "ALL" of us have memory lapses like we don't know its from madden 07(player intros)..but gamers praise this crew for there hard work in a one year cycle...when "MODES" go completely untouched..
M12 is a decent effort to BETTER representation than past years of this Gen but to say its good is a slap in the face to last Gen and its not deserving at this point...M12 souldve been M09, but like you said with no competition you can do just about what you want...ALA Nikki Menage or how ever you spell it..

alot of the things on this list should be in current gen maddens . if my second ps2 would'nt have junked out on me 3 months before the ps3 was coming out i would still be playing it . it's pretty bad when the q&a people can't check the acell. clock being able not to turn it off in franchise mode. a reed that ea hires second hand q&a companies for all their sports games. one thing i still can't get is how madden their "money cow" dosen't have some type of physics engine by now but yet the fifa and nhl games have it and madden 12 dosen't .it's pretty sad when i look forward to splinter cell hd trilogy games that came out on the ps2 because i used to play madden every chance i got . now i have to hope and wait year after year to rent and see if madden is worth buying. madden 12 is good but not great where it should be .i guess we have to hope cam webber dosen't go back o his word about and i quote 'i want to make football games for the hardcore sim fans and that starts with solid gameplay first ' . it sounds like cam was able to double the core gameplay team for both madden and ncaa . we all know that ea will rebid for the license and will get it .at the same time shame on the nfl for not giving it to any company that wants to make a nfl game .

@newefan I have a 99.9999% feeling that they will renew and EA isn't dumb, they know madden would be. Where NBA live/elite is if they had comp on the next Gen consoles...its in a identify crisis now with out any competition...if they was just flat out saying the same thing since 06 then it would be one thing. But to have multiple 3 year plans in 6 years is proof that they new there engine was busted from jump street...just look at how out dated the animations look...(example: pop in CH2k8 and see how bad the running, and turning on a dime looks..now slide Madden12 back in and see all the similarities in sliding and spinning..ITS OUTDATED..from madden 06-12 the animations haven't changed dramatically only tweaked and overwritten a million times...same over the shoulder catch animation since 08..show me one person who leaps up for no reason while running full speed without looking to catch the ball..."OUTDATED"

As long as people keep buying Madden, EA will never give gamers a true football experience.... EA prepare to open your checkbook, because if u lose the NFL rights....Madden will DIE, just like NBA Live/Elite....

Competition.

The sad thing, for me, is that I actually enjoy to play the games in Franchise mode but it is so dead and unaddictive that it makes me feel more like going to work than playing a game.

So agree with this blog. But it's sad that people like me continue to buy the game because they buy into the hype. It's because of all the money that they make off the game that allows EA to think that their game is good enough to sell, when in reality, they are giving us games that fall well, well short of their potential. But until we as gamers make a conscious choice to stop buying their games or EA has competition, nothing will change.

The funny thing is when madden 04/05/06 from last gen was in, the thought of NFL 2k wasnt even a thought for me..Madden game play was and franchise had me hooked. My friend use to play the other game and I could never really get into it...

But all of a sudden the more powerful systems, fresh technology, why more ways to innovate, fall short, and leave me the thought of older tech games that I never thought of playing when they where out; such as 2k5...
The Maddens today should have me full immersed and not leaving me the thought of pre historic games that I didnt wanna play when they were fresh, but now having the urge of picking "BACK" up...

@staffan I really tried to like this Madden franchise mode, I even had my first WOW momement since the next gen installment....BUT with the lack luster depth and mind boggling bugs it sucked me right out; and I agree with the "going to work instead of playing a game" feeling..

You are completely right. The things you listed is exactly what most of the people bashing M12 want. We want the stuff that we used to have on PS2, is that too much to ask. Is it a bad thing to want features that they already but in a game before.

NCAA is the same way with all the MISSING features

all i have to say fellow sports gamers is one word and one word only eclusive license! compation is the only way this franchise is ever going to mind blowing better! or john madden takes his name off this crapy franchise! i have a couple things to say to ea! first turn on the tv and watch an entire nfl and college football game and watch the presentation,study it and disect it! thats the only way you will ever nail a true tv presentation video football game! a kindergardener could do that! and the last thing truly starting looking at the forums at there and truly give the fans what they want and not give us a bunch of lip service!

one other thing i totaly agree with the espn sports center radio in and out feed on ncaa football! that is so anoying! i just turned it off! and the espn ticker at the bottom at times not very up to date! if your going to put those two things in there atleast get them right or dont put them in there at all and drop the espn license!
